Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh

Kate Thornton appointed host for the show
4th September
1st Audtion shown on TV

Auditions were held in London, Leeds, Dublin, Newcastle, Birmingham and Glasgow. Each TV programme showed a selection of auditions from different locations.

Bootcamp was shown on TV in two separate programmes

Judges were allocated categories:
Simon Cowell – Over 25s, Sharon Osbourne – 16 – 24year olds, Louis Walsh – Groups

In programme 1- 12 contestants in each category were selected.
In programme 2 – 5 contestants in each category were selected to go to Judges’ Homes.

16th October
Judges’ Homes was shown on TV.

Contestants in each category were selected to go to the next round:
Over 25s – Steve Brookstein, Verity Keays, Rowetta Satchell (Odis Palmer and Lloyd Wade were sent home)
16 – 24 years – Tabby Callaghan, Cassie Compton, Roberta Howett (Megan Ramsay and Andy Steed were sent home)
Groups – 2 to Go, G4, Voices with Soul (Advance and 4Tune were sent home)
