Lady Wulfruna founded a new town. It later became the city of Wolverhampton.

A son, Aethelstan, was born to Aethelred and Aelfgifu.

Dunstan, Archbishop of Canterbury, died.

Aethelgar was appointed new Archbishop of Canterbury
