Thomas Parr was born to William Parr and Elizabeth FitzHugh. He was the couple’s second child, his sister Anne had been born around 1474.

Thomas’s father refused to attend the coronation of Richard III because he felt that he had usurped the throne. Thomas’s mother, however, did attend the event as she had been chosen to serve Queen Anne.
It is believed that Thomas was sent to the household of Margaret Beaufort as part of his education.
Thomas’s father, William Parr died.
Maud Green, an heiress, aged about 14 years, became Thomas Parr’s ward.
Parr married Maud Green, daughter of Sir Thomas Green of Boughton and Greens Norton.

Thomas was knighted.
Parr was appointed Sheriff of Northamptonshire.
Parr’s wife, Maud, was appointed Lady in Waiting to Catherine of Aragon.
Parr was appointed Sheriff of Lincolnshire.
Thomas inherited half of the FitzHugh estate when his cousin, Lord FitzHugh died. This made him very wealthy.
A daughter, Katherine, was born to Thomas and Maud Green.
Thomas’s sister, Anne, died.

Thomas’s brother, William, was knighted.
1515 (15th June)
A daughter, Anne, was born to Thomas and his wife Maud Green.
Thomas Parr was one of the nobles sent to escort Henry VIII‘s sister, Margaret Tudor, from Scotland to London.
1516 (21st February)
Parr attended the christening of Princess Mary. He held the canopy over the infant princess.
1517 (11th November)
Thomas Parr, died during an outbreak of the plague.
